Use this skill when the user needs to control the browser launch mode. By default the browser is managed by Playwright and opens no debugging port. The headed parameter controls whether the window is visible, and private_mode is kept for backward compatibility and no longer changes the default.
Tasks
Launch the browser in default Playwright-managed mode with no debugging port by calling {"action": "start"}
Open a visible browser window by calling {"action": "start", "headed": true}
Inputs
{"action": "start"}
{"action": "start", "headed": true}
Outputs
Playwright-managed browser session with no debugging port
Visible browser window when headed is set to true
Limitations and checks
Visible mode occupies the desktop and may not work on servers or headless environments
When the user manually operates the visible browser, the idle timer may not be refreshed
private_mode is kept only for backward compatibility and no longer changes the launch mode
private_mode passed together with cdp_port is rejected
Confirm that private_mode is not set in the start call, since it is already the default behavior and should not be used
Verify that a graphical environment is available before setting headed to true
Stop any already-running browser before starting again to switch launch modes or window visibility
