Meeting Note Summarizer

A methodology skill that turns raw meeting notes, transcripts, bullet-point jumbles, voice memo transcriptions, or scattered chat messages into clean, structured summaries organized by Decisions, Action Items, Key Discussion Points, and Next Steps, preserving the source's level of certainty and marking missing fields with explicit unknown markers.

Tasks

Turn raw meeting notes, transcripts, or bullet-point jumbles into a structured summary with Decisions, Action Items, Key Discussion Points, and Next Steps sections
Extract action items only from supplied notes, returning each task with its owner or "Unassigned" and its deadline or "No deadline stated"
Surface decisions only, with stated rationale, when asked what was decided
Apply the client call format covering Client Status, Scope Changes, Feedback, and Deliverables Due
Apply the brainstorm format covering Ideas Generated, Themes, Promising Directions, Killed Ideas, and Next Experiment
Apply the 1:1/coaching format covering Check-In, Challenges Shared, Advice Given, and Accountability
Apply the standup/daily sync format covering Completed, In Progress, Blockers, and Plan
Condense a summary to at most one sentence per section when asked to make it shorter

Inputs

Raw transcript text
Bullet-point jumble
Voice memo transcription
Scattered chat messages
Existing messy notes

Outputs

Structured meeting summary with Topic, Date, Duration, and Participants header fields plus sections for Decisions, Action Items, Key Discussion Points, Next Steps, and Attachments/References, adapted to meeting type
Action-items-only output when extraction of action items is requested
Decisions-only output when the user asks what was decided
Meeting-type-specific formats for client calls, brainstorm sessions, 1:1/coaching calls, and standups
One-sentence TL;DR leading the summary of long supplied transcripts, only when supported by the notes
Warning flags for ambiguous or missing items such as unassigned ownership or unconfirmed next-meeting dates

Limitations and checks

Tentative statements must not be invented or upgraded into facts; the source's level of certainty must be preserved
Participants, dates, durations, decisions, tasks, owners, deadlines, rationale, and next meetings that are not explicitly supported must not be added
Meeting duration must not be inferred from transcript length
Drafts must not be sent or published without the user's explicit authorization
Meeting content must not be persisted unless the user asks and identifies the destination
Proposals, preferences, and open questions must be kept separate from decisions
When the meeting type is unclear, the standard format is used or the inferred type is labeled tentative; clarifying questions are asked only when the choice materially affects the requested output
Verify each action item includes an owner only when stated (otherwise "Unassigned") and a deadline only when stated (otherwise "No deadline stated")
