This skill uses the BrowserAct Web Search Scraper API to extract webpage content as Markdown from a supplied URL.
Tasks
Check whether the BROWSERACT_API_KEY environment variable is set before taking other actions.
Run the documented scraper script with the target URL as its argument.
Monitor timestamped status logs while the task is running and inspect the returned result for content or errors.
If execution fails without the text "Invalid authorization" and the result is empty or begins with "Error:", re-execute the script once; do not retry an invalid authorization error.
Inputs
target_url: the HTTP or HTTPS website URL to extract content from.
BROWSERACT_API_KEY: the BrowserAct API key required before running.
Outputs
content: the complete Markdown content of the webpage when execution succeeds.
Limitations and checks
The documented workflow describes extraction from a single target URL.
Execution may take several minutes and emits status logs while running.
Automatic retry is limited to one retry after a non-authorization execution failure.
An invalid or expired API key should not be retried automatically.
Confirm that BROWSERACT_API_KEY is configured before invoking the script.
Confirm that target_url is supplied as the script argument.
Check whether the output contains "Invalid authorization".
If the task fails without an invalid-authorization message, check whether the output starts with "Error:" or the returned result is empty.
