Python Azure Document Translation SDK examples for batch/single-document translation, language targets, glossaries, operation status and async use.
Tasks
Configure endpoint authentication through an API key or DefaultAzureCredential.
Submit a Blob-backed batch to one or more language targets, optionally with a glossary.
Adapt the single-document client example and save the resulting document.
Inspect operation/document statuses and errors, cancel jobs when appropriate and use async clients for selected concurrent jobs.
Query supported document formats and inspect the documented language-list response before choosing supported inputs/targets.
Inputs
Documents/source Blob container, target language/container configuration and optional glossary.
Document Translation endpoint and protected key or supported identity credentials.
Operation IDs for status/cancellation and desired output path for the single-document route.
Outputs
Translated documents in configured targets after successful execution.
Operation/document status, success/failure counts and per-document errors.
Supported-format/language response data from actual queries; results require interpretation for the intended source/target use.
Limitations and checks
The examples are version-dependent templates, not verified execution or guaranteed preservation of every layout element.
get_supported_languages() is shown as a language listing; do not treat this example alone as proof that a particular target is valid. Verify actual API semantics and target support separately.
Batch Blob requirements apply to the batch route; the single-document example has a different input form and requires SDK compatibility verification.
Formats listed in the table are source reference claims; check actual supported-format responses and inspect errors/outputs before relying on them.
Does authentication work with protected credentials and the intended resource?
Are batch storage permissions, target isolation and glossary configuration valid?
Are requested input formats and target languages actually supported by the selected API?
Were per-document failures inspected even when the overall operation completed?
