Limitations and risks
Because slides are generated as images, the individual page elements in the output are not directly editable in PowerPoint; the format suits strong visual presentation rather than post-generation editing of slide content.
Slide image generation depends on external services: the AtlasCloud image-generation API (configured via API key, base URL, and model name) or an OpenAI-compatible image-generation API, whose CLI/API fallback defaults to gpt-image-2.5-flare. These are required remote services, not internal project capabilities.
Getting started
Install the skill with: npx -y skills@latest add ningzimu/codex-ppt-skill --skill codex-ppt --agent codex --global, then restart Codex, then issue a prompt such as: use the codex-ppt skill to turn /path/to/article.md into a presentation of about 10 slides.
