Hypit lets coding agents turn a reference video or a natural-language description into an editable, rerunnable video workflow that can produce multiple variants. It operates through a CLI-based coding-agent setup and can use the HypiHub hosted model service, user-provided APIs, or local model services.
Project overview
It clones a complete video workflow—footage, captions, B-roll, and effects—rather than producing only a script breakdown, and the resulting composition is editable and rerunnable.

Best for
Developers and AI engineers who already work with a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex and want to automate producing editable short-form video workflows and many variants.
Teams producing multiple short-form videos from a reference or concept who need a rerunnable composition rather than one-off renders.
Key capabilities
Creates a complete editable workflow from a supplied video, including footage, captions, B-roll, and effects.
Lets an agent write a video workflow from a natural-language description without requiring a reference video.
Supports reusing a composition and changing selected material to create many variants from one workflow.
Produces an editable, rerunnable composition rather than only a one-off rendered video.
Supports visuals driven by front-end code and local rendering without generation API calls.
Limitations and risks
The model and API services used by workflows may have their own terms and charges.
The documented installation and operation depend on a coding agent and its environment.
Model-service usage is billed by the chosen provider, so generation costs can vary by provider and workflow.
Outputs may be subject to the terms of third-party models and services used in a workflow.
Getting started
Installation uses an npx command; first use may require preparing the Hypit executable and configuring credentials or a model service. The first success path is invoking /hypit with a reference video or a video request.
